What is CashBooklet?
A free money book for everyday life. You write down what you spend, what you lend and borrow, and what you share with a group, and CashBooklet keeps the totals.
Is it really free?
Yes. It is free, shows no ads and never asks for a card.
Does it connect to my bank or move my money?
No, on purpose. It records money and never moves it: no bank link, no card, no wallet and no loans.
Does it work without internet?
Adding entries and people works offline, and they sync in order later. Reports, group splits, sharing, budgets and goals need a connection.
Does money I lend count as spending?
No. Money you lend is kept on the person's account, so your month still shows what you really spent.
Do my friends need the app?
No. Add them by name, or pick them from your phone's contacts. For groups, they can follow along with an invite link if they want to.
How does a group split work?
Everyone adds what they paid. Split equally, by percent, by shares or exact amounts, from one payer, several payers or a shared Pool. Settle everything works out the fewest payments.
Can I share a book with my family?
Yes. Share one book as Viewer or Editor. The person sees only that book, never the rest of your CashBooklet.
Which currencies and languages are supported?
Any currency, picked from your phone when you start. The app is in English and Urdu.
What if I make a mistake?
Edit the entry, or void it with a reason. Nothing is erased, and every change keeps its history.
Where can I use it?
In any browser at app.cashbooklet.com, on a phone, tablet or laptop. The Android app is coming to Google Play; there is no iPhone app yet.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Export reports as PDF or Excel, or a full backup, at any time. You can also import an old book from Excel or CSV.
How do I delete my account?
From inside the app, under your account. It is disabled at once and erased after 30 days. The deletion page explains the steps.
Can I use it for a shop?
Yes. Choose Shop when you sign up to get customer and supplier accounts, invoices, a daily cash count and staff roles.
