Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use the CashBooklet app and the service behind it, provided by CashBooklet (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. What CashBooklet is
CashBooklet is a record-keeping tool: cash books, customer and supplier khata, invoices, stock, day-close counts and shared-expense groups.
CashBooklet only keeps records. It is not a bank, a wallet, a payment service or a lender. It never moves, holds or lends money, and nothing in the app is financial, tax, accounting or legal advice. A balance shown in the app is what you and your team entered — it is not proof of a debt or a payment.
2. Your account
- CashBooklet is for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- Give a real email address — it is how we verify you, reset your password and confirm a deletion.
- Keep your password and your phone safe. You are responsible for what is done with your account. The app lock (a PIN on your phone) is there to help.
- When you add someone to a business, they can see and — depending on the role you choose — change its records. Choose roles with care and remove people who no longer need access.
3. Your records
- What you enter is yours. We store and process it only to provide the service to you and your team, as the Privacy Policy describes.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, and for having the right to keep the details of other people — customers, suppliers, staff — that you put in the app.
- You can export your records at any time (More → Account & privacy → Export data, and Reports). Keep your own copies of anything important.
4. Messages you send
Reminders, statements and invoices are sent by you, in your name, usually through WhatsApp, SMS or email on your own phone. You are responsible for having the right to contact the people you send them to.
5. Fair use
Do not use CashBooklet to break the law, to keep records for a fraudulent purpose, to try to reach data that is not yours, to disrupt the service, or to send messages people have not agreed to receive.
6. Price
CashBooklet is free to use and shows no ads. If that ever changes, we will tell you in the app before it affects you.
7. Availability
We work to keep CashBooklet running, correct and backed up, and the app keeps working offline and syncs when you are back online. Even so, the service is provided “as is”: we cannot promise it will always be available, free of errors or that data will never be lost. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for business losses, lost profits or lost data that result from using — or being unable to use — the app. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law that cannot be limited.
8. Ending
- You can stop using CashBooklet at any time and delete your account.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people’s data or the service at risk.
9. Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. We will update this page and the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will tell you in the app or by email first. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
