Lent and borrowed

Lent a friend some money? Write it down before you forget.

Open their name, tap You gave or You got, and the balance keeps itself. Money you lend is kept apart from what you spend, so your month still adds up. Pick people straight from your phone's contacts.

Group splitting

The trip is over. Settle it in two payments, not ten.

Everyone adds what they paid. Split equally, by percent, by shares or exact amounts, keep a common Pool, and close the month for a flat or hostel room that never ends. Add friends by name, or invite them by link to follow along.

Plan ahead

See the bills coming. Keep something for later.

Add your salary and monthly bills once and see what will be left next month. Get a reminder before a bill is due, a warning at 80% of a budget, and a tally toward each savings goal.

The whole app, and the PDFs you share, in either language.

A calculator in the amount box

Type 450+1200+75 and save the total. Only the amount is required, so an entry takes seconds.

Receipts with the entry

Attach up to five photos to any entry, so the bill is there when you need it.

Reports you can hand over

See six months of spending, and export to PDF or Excel. Import an old book from a spreadsheet.

Mistakes get voided, not erased

Fix or void an entry with a reason. Every change keeps its history, so the book stays honest.

Taxi to airport1,500

It records money. It never moves it.

No bank link, no card, no wallet. "You got" and "Mark paid" only write an entry, so there is no money in CashBooklet for anyone to take.

App lock

A 4-digit PIN when the app comes back, plus fingerprint or face.

Private by default

A shared book shows only that book. Receipt photos are private and shown only to signed-in people.

Your contacts stay on your phone

Picking a friend from your contacts reads them on the device. They are never uploaded.

Free, no ads

No ads in your book, and no card asked for at sign-up.

Something you spent, or money you gave a friend. Only the amount is required.

Questions

Something else? Write to [email protected].

Is CashBooklet really free?

Yes. It is free and shows no ads, and sign-up never asks for a card.

Does it connect to my bank or move my money?

No, on purpose. It records money and never moves it: no bank link, no card, no wallet. You write down what happened and CashBooklet keeps the totals.

Does money I lend count as spending?

No. Money you lend to a friend is kept on their account, not in your spending, so your month still shows what you really spent.

Do my friends need the app to split costs?

No. You can add them by name. If they want to see the group, send them an invite link and they can follow along with their own account.

Does it work without internet?

Adding entries and people works offline and syncs in order later. Reports, group splits and sharing need a connection.

Which currencies and languages does it support?

Any currency, picked from your phone when you start. The app is in English and Urdu.

Where can I use it?

In any browser at app.cashbooklet.com, on a phone, tablet or laptop. The Android app is coming to Google Play.
