About
Money between people deserves a proper record.
The money people lose track of is rarely in a bank statement. It is the lunch you covered, the rent split three ways and the cash that went somewhere this week. CashBooklet is a simple book for exactly that.
Why we built it
Most money apps start from a bank account. Everyday money does not. It moves in cash, between friends, across a shared flat and inside a family. When nobody writes it down, small amounts turn into awkward conversations.
A paper notebook works until it is lost, wet or out of pages. CashBooklet keeps the same simple idea, a book where you write down what happened, and adds what paper cannot: totals that add themselves, balances per person, splits that settle in the fewest payments, and reminders before bills are due.
What we will never do
CashBooklet records money. It never moves it. There is no bank link, no card, no wallet and no loan inside the app. That is a choice, not a missing feature: it means there is no money in CashBooklet for anyone to take, and nothing to sell you.
The principles we build by
- Free, with no ads. Your money book is not an advertising space.
- Records, never moves. We write things down. Your bank does the rest.
- Works offline. A weak signal should never stop you writing an entry.
- Nothing is erased. Entries are voided with a reason, so the book stays honest.
- Plain words, two languages. English and Urdu, any currency, no jargon.
- People first. Personal money, friends, groups and family come first. A small shop is welcome too.
